DataDyne

The DataDyne is a institute, rival of Carrington, which produces weapons for self-defense and for military.

History

The head of DataDyne is Cassandra DeVries, a rich old woman which always wears a special necklace. The DataDyne has strong government connections and seedier practices. The institute has a lot of people working for it, including researches, guards, secret agents, and a shock troop. The institute is the main rival of Carrington Institute, as agents has tried to steal information of Carrington.

DataDyne has also a central building, where Perfect Dark starts. It is unknown the location, specifically, the city where it is. The building has: a heliport in the roof, Cassandra's private room in the higher floor, rooms and terminals in all other floors, and a secret passage in the lower floor. The passage leads to a elevator, going to a secret underground laboratory. There, scientists produce experimental weapons and items. There are also agents guarding some areas of the laboratory. In the deepest level, there are rooms guarded by shock troop agents. Deeper, a room where the AI computer Dr. Carrol can be found.

Building and Laboratory

Building

The central building of DataDyne is huge, having 14 floors, including the roof. In the roof, there is a large heliport. In the last floor, two elevators and Cassandra's room are found. The room is very large. In the next floor, there is rooms with chairs and sofas. Deep, there is a room with two terminals. In next floor, there is a empty room and two more. Deep, a room with a terminal which can acess the elevators and locked room. It is unknown what is found in the other floors, but probably there is workers and agents. In the last floor, there is the entrance and a secret room, which is only accesable with Cassandra's necklace. Only terminals which can contact outside people or help are found. Going deep, a secret passage where the elevator for the laboratory is found.

Laboratory

The laboratory has two ways: the right one will lead to a room with terminals and another one with sofas. The left one will lead to a secretary-like room. There is a special room, where scientists keep radioative artifacts. Following, a large corridor where four rooms are found. In each room, scientists work in their projects and also test them.
